Lineat Composites Perform Drying Trials

Lineat Composites Perform Drying Trials in Natgraph's Drying Solutions Centre

Composite material for drying solution centre test trials

It was a great pleasure hosting Maeve O’Neill and Luis Cunha from Lineat Composites recently to our drying solutions test centre.

Lineat Composites produce high-performance sustainable composite tape for use in composite manufacturing made from reclaimed carbon fibres in composite parts, reducing the carbon footprint of composite materials.

Their fibre alignment technology produces highly aligned discontinuous fibre tapes that exhibit mechanical performance comparable to continuous fibre composites.

At the moment their production line uses a home-built dryer that uses too much energy and doesn’t dry the substrate as efficiently as it could be.

With the help from our technicians, trial samples of specific wet material were tested in-depth through our drying and curing modules to be able to determine and deliver a significant improvement in drying time, producing the data and observations required to be able to design, build and integrate a customised solution into their production.

For expert advice about our cost-effective, energy-saving drying and curing solutions for web dryers designed for continuous roll-to-roll processing, bonding and adhesive systems, automotive decorative trim/sensors/decals, plastic cards/security printing, print finishing, textile transfers, packaging, electronics/biosensors, graphics/overlay applications, please contact our sales engineers at info@natgraph.co.uk
