Wiring the essential heating elements
For over six years, Shaun has been a valued member of Natgraph’s dynamic electrical engineering team.
His background includes significant experience with a leading global rail transport manufacturer, where Shaun served as a cable routing and installation panel wirer for train carts.
This complex and safety-critical role demanded meticulous connection of a wide array of electrical systems vital to vehicle operation such as lighting, HVAC, door mechanisms, communication networks, braking and traction controls, comprehensive monitoring systems and essential safety features.
This work required strict compliance with railway industry regulations and a thorough understanding of the demanding operational context.
Shaun’s deep understanding and practical skills are now applied daily at Natgraph across various electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, including (pictured) the precise wiring of warm and hot heating elements for both sides of our heating modules.
His responsibilities also extend to wiring inlet and outlet wings, HMI lecterns and the efficient pre-assembly of generic motor cabling to facilitate rapid project completion.
Additionally, Shaun plays a key role in the integration of colour CCTV systems into Natgraph dryers. This valuable feature provides operators with a direct visual feed of the stacker from the printing machine, significantly enhancing efficiency and ease of use, particularly on long, high-speed, automated printing lines.
